Our lightweight Trident ROV allows for seamless underwater exploration, with remote operation from the surface via tether while on the support vessel. We've named her Tritanic as a tribute to the pioneering spirit of the lost Titan crew, honoring their dedication to exploration.

At present, we’re able to reach dive sites in small to medium-sized lakes, as well as along the shores of larger lakes. For open-water explorations, access to a larger support vessel will be necessary.

As our ROV shows signs of aging from a technical perspective, we are planning an upgrade in the future to ensure continued innovation and reliability.

Our Vehicle:

  • Underwater Capabilities

Hydrodynamic and hydro balanced hull: The hydrodynamic-bodied Trident has two rear thrusters that provide rapid horizontal propulsion, along with a third mid-mounted vertical thruster that moves the ROV vertically.

Rated for 328 feet (100 meters) and weighing 9 lbs; this light ROV can go up to 2 knots.

  • Integrated Technology

Flexibility: ROV operating temperature up to 0 to +40 °C.

Visibility: High quality camera that can record up to 1920 x 1080 25/30 Fps.

Sight: With a base of 360 lumens, illuminates up to 20 feet ahead.

Customizable: This open source project software allows ROV enthusiasts to deliver improved ROV capabilities to the OpenROV community via software update packages.

  • Additional Features

    Communications System:

Using a neutrally buoyant tether to communicate to a towable buoy on the surface, the buoy connects to the pilot using a long range WiFi signal. Using a wireless towable buoy greatly increases the practical range of the vehicle while doing transects and search patterns since a physical connection between the vehicle and the pilot doesn't need to be maintained.

Thank you for your support and generosity!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Renata Rojas, whose adventurous spirit and deep commitment to deep sea exploration inspired us to expand our scope of exploration. We would not be able to conduct these dives without her support, thanks to her generous donation. As a seasoned technical diver, cave diver, aquanaut, and deep sea explorer, Renata shares our passion for discovery and contributes to fellow enthusiasts in the field of exploration.
