Nancy & Maggie
Nancy is a passionate individual and has a strong belief in marine ecology. She enjoys traveling and has been fortunate enough to explore many countries around the world, including China, Russia, Europe, Australia, and Antarctica; discovering all it has to offer.
She was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, and later moved to Toronto in 1982 and settled in with her high school sweetheart shortly after.
As she continued to work in the Retail and Financial Sectors (over forty years!), Nancy also raised two boys and frequently did road trips that involved the great outdoors and a variety of Provincial National Parks.
Nancy is also the proud owner of Chomy's Custom Crafts, a small business specializing in creating customized handicrafts. The company was founded in March 2022 with a focus on delivering unique and personalized creations.

long-term care home visit.
In 2011, she began volunteering for the Therapy Dog Program at St. John Ambulance. The first Therapy Dog she had was Ruby. Ruby was a Child Certified Therapy dog and they worked together for seven years before her sudden passing in 2017. They visited a long-term care facility, got involved in children’s programs at nearby elementary schools, and attended numerous community events.
Nancy took on the responsibility of an administrative role at St John Ambulance after Ruby passed away, and she has remained in that position ever since. Maggie, her current dog, began in 2022 and is also certified as Child-Friendly. They regularly go to their local hospital, run a Reading Program in Elementary Schools, and participate in various community events.
